The constant improvement of the products of Elektro-Thermit GmbH & Co. KG is a major precondition to ensure permanent successful cooperation with our customers. A main aim of the New technologies is therefore the development of innovations and the development of new products with improved characteristics.

The focus of interest in this area is both on our Thermit^® Welding Methods and the Thermit^® portions. They can be subject to constant improvement and optimization to adapt to changing market conditions.

For example, the development of new, high-strength rail types requires close cooperation of Elektro-Thermit-GmbH & Co. KG with the rail producers and railway companies to ensure the aluminothermic weldability of the rails in the track.

But not only the Thermit^® welding methods or the Thermit^® portions are of interest to our D&AT department, the complete Equipment for Thermit^® Welding is in a process of constant improvement to comply with the requirements and expectations of our customers.

The division New Technologies is focused on the intensive contact with external research institutions, universities and business companies. Operations which are accompanied by this department are supposed to are supposed to deepen the knowledge base and to help further development of new procedures and products.
