Elektro-Thermit has a number of different drying ovens and kilns for the small-scale technical
simulation of the drying processes of materials used for thermit welding (molds, crucibles, plugs).
The global range of customers of the Thermit Group requires testing consumables under different climatic conditions.
For simulating these climate conditions, climate cabinets which can simulate any temperature and relative humidity
levels are used.

Experienced welders work in research and development as well as in quality control. They know how
to handle all Thermit procedures. Both departments have fully equipped welding laboratories. Verification and
experimental welds can be made at 4 welder workplaces. Lifting implements and cranes handle heavy rail parts at
the welding stations and move welded rails for further treatment in the testing machines. We have a large number
of saws and grinders for cutting, parting or grinding welds for examinations to be carried out. To carry out welds
by different methods, at different sections and rail grades, we need as stock of rails and molds with a large variety
of different track and mold types.
